Axis
The third transmission in the Broadcast 0 series.
Axis explores stillness as a form of orientation. Through sparse language, extended silence, and careful attention to physical sensation, the recording gradually reduces experience to a series of stable relationships: body and floor, breath and air, warmth and pressure, voice and silence.
Rather than asking you to imagine something new, Axis repeatedly returns to what is already present.
The body settles.
The room remains.
The voice becomes a fixed point around which attention slowly begins to organise itself.
As external concerns recede, ordinary sensations become increasingly distinct. The pressure of clothing, the rhythm of breathing, the warmth gathering through stillness, and the simple fact of occupying space emerge with unusual clarity. Nothing extraordinary is introduced. The familiar is simply allowed to remain long enough to reveal its own structure.
Throughout the recording, recurring patterns and carefully measured repetition create an architectural sense of continuity. The voice does not lead so much as provide a stable reference against which experience can quietly unfold.
The final section dissolves almost entirely into silence, allowing the recording to end without resolution, leaving only the room, the body, and the continuing interval between them.
